A week in the life of….EOS Network!

Well, it’s been a pretty busy seven days here for us.

It started off last Saturday for me when I had to catch the red-eye flight to Dublin for a full day’s training with Fennell’s Photography, one of the photo agencies over there. I was asked to present a full day of training to four photographers on shooting video with EOS DSLR cameras. There was an emphasis on viral and behinds the scenes video rather than short-film making and that made for an interesting change of pace.

We rounded out the theory session with a BTS video shoot of a portrait session that was already arranged. It provided a good chance to put into practice some of the things we’d been talking about during the day.

When I finished on Saturday evening I caught the train to Cork – a 2hr45mins journey. Having been up at 4am and arriving in Cork at 11:45pm while still needing to find my hotel, it’s fair to say I was a bit shattered!

I spent Sunday exploring Cork and catching up on sleep before heading off on Monday morning to meet with a group from the Muster region of the IPPA. This was for another video training session, again looking at behind the scenes and viral video shooting. This session ended at 3:30pm and we rounded it off by shooting a very short interview section which was then edited just to show the process at work and put some practice on the bones.

Arriving back home Monday night I had a time to empty one bag and then re-pack ready for a morning flight on Tuesday to Lisbon in Portugal. Here I was meeting up with SanDisk, in my capacity as a SanDisk Extreme Team member, to deliver a presentation on Wednesday of the pro’s view of memory cards for photography as well as some product training. With the presentation finished, I had a little time to hit the gym in the hotel before jumping back on a flight home to England again.

All-in-all, a pretty busy week!

Brian has been busy as well this week. In fact, just yesterday he had an interesting meeting about an exciting future project that he’s going to be working on… more news on that at a later date.

For now though, we still have some spaces on our 8th July Intro to HD Movie shooting course and our Macro photography workshop also on 8th July. If you’re interested in either of these, follow the links and book your place now.
