Well guys, it's nearly that time again. Focus on Imaging at the NEC has spun round and there's just a week to go until the biggest UK photographic event of the year. I'll be there, in my usual place propping up one of the Canon stands and answering questions from anyone that drops by. Who's going from here? Please do drop by and say hello if you are! Dave

Hi Dave,

Hi Dave

I'll be there on Monday from early - so I'll say hi before the crowds start to gather and before I buy anything that might cause you embarrassment on the Canon stand ;-)

Mike.

I'm going with a huge list of wants, a smaller list of needs and a wife who will make sure I get what I can afford and really, really need :-)

Mind you, whe is coming too and has her own list...maybe this will be the year where I can control the purse strings????

Stewart - see you there. Wear blinkers - it's a good way to avid buying anything!

Mike, just don't bring any Sony rubbish on the stand and we'll be fine! Look foward to seeing you on the stand Monday morning.

Michael - Collate the wants lists and the needs lists and you can have an exchange program!

I have my ticket, but need to sort out a day with the 9-5 job!

Would go on the last day normally, but having just started a new role (in a new location) for the firm, it might be awkward......

Lol - nope none of that stuff ;-)

Although managed to pick up 2-3 (very) big things on my want list over the last week means that I'm literally looking for new FB papers to see if anything jumps out above Gold Fibre Slk, see if there are any frame deals (I suspect I'll be placing a well timed order from one of my regular suppliers with a 25% discount - to cover my petrol ;-) ), and to catch up with some people, including of course your good self.....

Early night for me !!!

6.30 am train from Plymouth for Focus @ NEC.

Going to look at Gitzo tripods, gimball & ballheads.

Looking for a decent point & shoot, for the better half (possibly a Panasonic GF-1) & alternatives to Epson paper & ink  (Photospeed recommended by Tony Worobiec).

Not forgetting to take in the Canon & Adobe stands

Should be a good day out.

Cheers  -  Terry

Well a good day out for myself and my wife, nice to meet you in the flesh Dave, even if you suggested it was a good idea to buy my wife a 7d!!

The plastic is feeling quite bruised!
