By setting the camera to 'silent mode' does this have any bearing on the shutter speed? The only reason I ask is there are times when you do not want the 'machine gun' sound and opt for the 'silent mode', however the shutter sounds so slow? Daft question I know, but...Embarassed

Hi Steve

I used to use the quiet mode all the time when i had the MK3-Great for fox etc that are very shy, It has no effect on shutter speed but does mean that you shoot literally in single mode, You control when the shutter comes down by your finger-a great feature that i miss-its now on the D3s which i would love but cant afford-yet

Hi Dave, thanks for that, it's not something I constantly use,  (as you know Laughing ) however, subject to how things go over the next few months it's something I will be setting the camera too for one small project, although it will be fired by remote.

cheers

Steve
