Shooting HD video with DSLR cameras is a phenomenon that is not going to go away. As it gets ever bigger in the market, if you don’t get on board now, you’ll get left behind.
If you don’t know your shutter speed from your frame rates, or your shotgun from lavalier then you need to come on this course.
Suitable for anyone with an HD DSLR camera, this course will take you from getting the camera into movie mode through to your first steps in editing the footage and everything in between.
On the day you’ll learn the importance of accurate white balance and why in-camera processing is the work of the devil. We’ll also show you how to take your filming to the next level by explaining and demonstrating the major accessories you need to successfully switch from stills to video and make your video clips stand out from the crowd.
We’ll walk you through the minefield of capturing audio and you’ll see the benefits of using external audio recording systems to ensure you have the best audio quality.
We’ll also look at constructing a shoot and deciding the shots you need to get to tell the story by building a storyboard or shot list. This will make sure that not only is editing easier but you’ll also not miss any crucial shots.
The editing section will introduce to NLE software like Final Cute Pro or Adobe Premier, show you how to setup your system for efficient editing being it a mobile workstation like a laptop or a larger home desktop system. You’ll also learn how to backup your files sensibly so you never lose any data. Finally, we’ll show you how to output your film ready to share with the world.
