Speedlite flash workshop
Overview
Using a flash can help to raise your photos from ordinary to extraordinary but you need to do more than simple raise the pop-up flash on your camera to get the best results. Canon’s Speedlite flash system enables you to bring light to your pictures wherever you have to shoot them, this course will equip you with the fundamental skills to use these powerful creative tools to create the light you want where you want, not just a set of instructions to duplicate another photographers results.
Aim of the course
Understand how the Canon Speedlite flash system works in both automated and manual modes to produce effective pictures. You will be able to work with single and multiple Speedlites and mix ambient light with flash for dynamic images.
We will cover:
- Exposure modes, metering and flash
- E-TTL II how it works and how to make it work for you
- Off-camera flash with one or more Speedlites
- Lighting stands, clamps and supports
- Light modifiers such as umbrellas, softboxes, grids, Orbis® ring flash, snoots and gels
- Remote Speedlite flash with: The Canon system; Simple triggers; Pocketwizard Flex TT5 and Mini TT1
Suitable for
Photographers, both professional and amateur who have one or more Canon Speedlites for their EOS camera or PowerShot G series and want to use it to take much better pictures in whatever light conditions they happen to face.
Whilst we have all the equipment on hand, you will benefit from bringing your EOS DSLR or PowerShot G series camera and and Speedlites you have, plus memory cards and batteries.
Maximum number of attendees: 10
This course is limited to a maximum of 10 people to ensure you get great access to our tutors and can ask the questions you really need to have answered.
